Job description : Radiation Safety in charge -All India

 

  • Certified RSO with knowledge of Nucleonic Gauges and Consumer Product and Scanning Facility. Experience from Analytical instrument Engg field is preferred.
  • AERB e-Lora portal management/administration for all Radiation Generating products inclusive of X-Ray diffractometer, X-ray Fluorescence spectrometer, NEM based Cross Belt analyzers etc.
  • Activities involved but not limited to

1.       Apply and Obtain NOC to Import for XRD/XRF/CNA with necessary technical documentation.

2.       Apply and Obtain Type Approval of the equipments and timely renewals with necessary technical documentation. Visits to sites during AERB inspections.

3.       Support to internal team as well as external customers for New and existing for registration and regularization of their equipment.

(Institute registration to License for operation).

4.       Support to internal team as well as external customer for decommissioning cases till disposal.

5.       Apply and Obtain the NEM & X-tube procurement permissions from AERB for Malvern Panalytical customers with necessary documentation.

6.       Maintain Supply Status Report for X-Ray tubes, NEMs and Equipments and timely submit to AERB.

7.       Maintain X-Ray Tube , NEM , Instrument disposal records.

8.       Vendor -CSE co-ordination for timely Radiation monitor calibration and maintain the records

in e-Lora.

9.       Vendor -CSE co-ordination for TLD badges administration and maintain the periodic records. Notify to concern Engineer as well as Management in case of the incident and take the actions for resolution.

10.   Maintain and comply all Radiation safety related activities to the latest norms.

11.   Query handling -Internal team as well as External customer in Pre sales and post sales case as SME.

12.   AERB formats preparation ,Letters, Correspondence with AERB and respective agencies for all above mentioned activities.

 

  • As authorized Radiation Safety Officer of the company is responsible for ensuring the safe use of radiation and radioactive materials.
  • Also responsible for managing the radiation protection program; identifying radiation protection problems; initiating, recommending, or providing corrective actions; verifying implementation of corrective actions; stopping unsafe activities; ensuring compliance with regulations ; and stopping operations where justified unsafe condition.
  • You are required to notify management of situations where staff are not cooperating or not addressing radiation safety issues. In addition, you are free to raise/consult the issues with or seek guidance from the supply center Radiation Safety Group as well as with AERB of India.
  • You are directly responsible for the radiation safety training programs for CSEs so as to ensure that radiation protection activities are performed as specified by the AERB regulations.
